Welcome to the Revd Michael Sawyer
We are delighted to welcome our new minister, the Revd Michael Sawyer, to our church. Michael joins us from 1 September 2026, and will be our minister for the next two years.
Michael writes as follows:
Dear friends, I come with many years’ experience of ministry in London, retiring to the Cotswolds in 2017. For the last few years I have served the district as a supervisor of superintendents in the Northamptonshire District and as Oxford circuit tutor for preachers and worship leaders.
I hope to bring my experience of ministry both pastoral, strategic thinking, and of charity governance gained as chair of trustees of Chelsea Methodist Church and trustee of Glassdoor, a sizeable charity for homeless people in West London, to explore together with yourselves and ecumenically, the hopes and aspirations of Rose Hill Methodist Church for the next two years and beyond.
It’s good to be with you, every blessing,
Michael J. Sawyer.
