We have a long tradition of chaplains, deacons and student ministers at Rose Hill who work in the community to share hope, love and care for the people who live, work and play in Rose Hill. Our current chaplain is Libby, and she’s with us Tuesdays and Wednesdays and some Sundays. When she’s not with us, she’s chaplaining in Great Western Park in Didcot.

When she’s in Rose Hill, she’s often found in the community – managing Community Cupboard, supporting All Sorts, visiting Alice and Margaret House, Rose Hill Primary School and Junior Youth Club at the Community Centre, listening to people in the street, pastoral care over the phone and engaging with many of the groups and individuals at the Community Centre. She also does a lot to build our web presence.

If you want to know more about what Libby does, or want to get in touch with her about a pastoral matter, contact her on 07874 339996 or email libby dot hawkness-smith at oxfordmethodists dot org dot uk. If you’re interested in what Libby’s been reading recently, please see here.

“Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
