Rose Hill Methodist Church - Facilities for Public Use
We are continually striving to make Rose Hill Methodist Church part of our local
community both relevant and more importantly useful to everyone in the area.
We are very fortunate to be able to offer three main spaces within the church.
Downstairs we have our largest room, it is of course the church itself, but can be divided into two with a large wooden screen, such that the communion table, organ and pulpit are closed off leaving a space large enough to fit 60 people comfortably. This space comes with a kitchen "en-suite" accessible via a large hatch, from which refreshments can be served. This main space has disabled access to it.
At the back of the premises is a smaller room suitable for holding meetings. It can fit 20 people comfortably and we have chairs and tables in abundance should they be required.
Upstairs at the back of the premises is our Sunday School room. This too can be divided into two with a screen similar to that found in our main space. This room also has a small kitchen "en-suite" and can fit up to 30 people comfortably. Access to this space is via a flight of stairs.
We have disabled toilet facilities and a place for baby changing.
Over the years a number of groups have used the facilities we have to offer, we have had a Bridge Club, a Slimming Club, a Theatre Company, a Dance Group and a Youth Club all use the premises. Currently we are home to the following organisations :
- The Oxford Philatelic Society
- The British Cactus and Succulent Society
- The United Methodist Church
- Cowley Chess Club
We have a large car park adjacent to the church with room, (if parked efficiently) for 30 cars!
If you are interested in using any of the spaces detailed above please send an e-mail to our lettings steward giving details of your requirements and a contact telephone number.
